VanderBeek wraps up Memorial Day Weekend with trio of top-10s

Zack VanderBeek and the 33z Racing team were back on the road with the USMTS over the Memorial Day Weekend with Mother Nature playing nice for three of the four nights.

On Thursday at the Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, VanderBeek raced from sixth to second in his heat race, and then brought home an eighth-place finish in the main event.

At the Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn., on Friday, 'The Z-Man' had another good heat performance going from seventh to third and making another feature race redraw where he started and finished fifth.

The team was back at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., on Saturday. This time, he drew the pole for his heat race and led all 8 laps to find himself in the redraw for the third straight night. After drawing no. 5, VanderBeek wound up eighth to give him his third top-10 finish of the weekend.

Sunday's event at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa, was rained out.
