VanderBeek partners with S&S Fishing & Rental, readies for 2018 racing season

Zack VanderBeek and 33z Racing have brought a new marketing partner on board as he and his team ready for the new racing season with a wildly successful 2017 campaign in the rear view mirror.

“We are excited and honored to announce that S&S Fishing & Rental has come on board for 2018 to help us with our racing program,” VanderBeek said. “I can’t thank Shane and Shelly Sprinkle enough for the faith they have put in me and my team, and all they have done for our sport over the years.”

In addition to assisting several drivers with their racing endeavors, the Sprinkles have owned the team and S&S Fishing & Rental has been the primary sponsor of Cade Dillard’s USMTS effort for the past two seasons, as well as being the presenting sponsor of the nation’s most popular dirt modified racing series.

Established in 2011 and headquartered in Andrews, Texas, S&S Fishing and Rental employees have over 100 combined years experience in the downhole fishing and rental market for the oil and gas industry. Their primary goals are to provide exceptional service, quality equipment and to maintain a safe work environment.

With Casey’s General Stores back on board as VanderBeek’s primary marketing partner in 2018, the 33-year-old from New Sharon, Iowa, has his sights set on another rigorous campaign in the USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental, as well as the Summit USMTS Southern Series.

“The support we get from Casey’s General Stores and all of our other fantastic sponsors is what makes it possible for us to compete with the USMTS on a consistent basis,” VanderBeek added. “Just like our race team, Casey’s is all about family, and we couldn’t be happier to have them be a part of our racing family.”

Casey’s General Store is an Iowa-based company that gives back to the communities through sponsorships, gifts and most notably this past year with their involvement with the “Honor Flights” for the veterans. Casey’s General Stores is also entering their 11th year as the title sponsor of the USMTS.

While VanderBeek’s results on the track in 2017 was one of the best in his career, the year was especially fulfilling by the unexpected success of his new VanderBuilt Race Cars.

The 2017 racing season opened a new chapter for Vanderbeek with the birth of VanderBuilt Race Cars.

“Eighteen years behind the wheel have lead me though some amazing accomplishments and relationships in our community,” VanderBeek said. “As I looked ahead to my future, I realized my passion for this sport goes beyond being behind the wheel. We felt the next step in this evolution was to make the leap into chassis production.”

VanderBeek, along with lead fabricator J.D. Gresham, design and build the state-of-the-art race cars which VanderBeek steered to six USMTS feature wins in 2017, including three straight in Wisconsin during the summer.

Stormy Scott, who was the second driver added to the stable, racked up three wins of his own as VanderBuilt Race Cars netted a third-place finish among 66 chassis builders in the USMTS Manufacturers Championship.

During last year’s grind, VanderBeek was one of three drivers that competed in all 71 of the USMTS-sanctioned events and split the MVT Road Warrior Award with Scott and Dereck Ramirez. He was also the season-long KSE Racing Products Hard Charger, winning the award five times during the year.

Vanderbeek captured the RHRSwag.com USMTS Norther Region title, finished second in the MSD Performance USMTS Central Region and wound up fifth in the Summit USMTS Southern Region. In the USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup, he finished sixth in the final standings.

After skipping the first weekend of the 2018 season to celebrate with his daughter, Addison, on her ninth birthday, the 33z Racing team will kick things off March 1 at the Grayson County Speedway in Bells, Texas, to open up a three-race weekend in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Tied for sixth on the all-time wins list, VanderBeek has 42 career USMTS feature wins.
