 Zack rolled on down the road with the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s for the 10th Annual USMTS Texas Spring Nationals at the Big O Speedway in Ennis, Texas. Both nights saw "The Z-Man" win his heat race from the pole position. Starting 6th on Friday night's wet hammer-down track, mechanical trouble sidelined the No. 33Z with a 19th-place finish. A much better racing surface and a much better result was discovered on Saturday. Again he found himself on the outside of the third row on the starting grid, but this time he was a contender from start to finish, eventually winding up on the podium with a 3rd-place finish.

 On Friday, Zack started and finished 2nd in his heat race. He drew the 6th starting spot for the main event and finished right where he began in 6th place. On Saturday, a bad draw (6th) in his heat race and a sloppy track resulted in a dismal 7th place finish. He was able to get 4th in his "B" Main and then charged from the 20th starting spot to salvage an 11th place finish in the Casey's "A" Main.

 Finished 2nd on Tuesday
 Finished 4th on Wednesday
 Finished 10th on Thursday

 Zack won his heat race Thursday but the main event was won at the draw. 'The Z-Man' drew the No. 2 pill and he finished 2nd after chasing Tanner Mullens the entire distance. On Friday, he won his heat race from the 4th starting spot and turned a 6th place start in to a 4th place finish in the feature. Saturday saw Zack finished 6th in his heat race before moving up from 15th on the grid to 10th at the checkered flag in the Casey's "A" Main. He sits 5th in the national points standings going into next weekend in Kansas and Missouri.

Summit USMTS National Championship - 7th Annual USMTS Event presented by American Racer

 Finished 5th in Main Event

 Zack and the 33Z Racing team ventured to the 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., on Thursday, Aug. 6, for the 7th Annual USMTS Event presented by American Racer. He started off the night by winning his heat race and then contended for the win early in the main event, eventually garnering a 5th-place finish after starting 4th and leading several laps. Zack also pocketed contingency awards from Champ Pans and Edelbrock.

Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey's - 14th Annual Summer Fling presented by VP Racing Fuels

 Finished 22nd in Main Event

 The 14th Annual Summer Fling presented by VP Racing Fuels was held at the Humboldt Speedway on Friday, Aug. 7, with the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey's once again in the spotlight. It was a rough night and a rough racing surface all night. After finishing 9th in his heat, Zack fought his way from 12th to 5th in his "B" Main but was able to complete just 14 laps in the main event and was paid for 22nd. He did, however, earn a contingency award from Tire Demon.

Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey's - 11th Annual USMTS Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout

 Finished 9th in Main Event

 The Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey's made their annual trek to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., on Saturday, August 8, for the 11th Annual USMTS Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout. With more than 50 cars in the pits, Zack started and finished 4th in his heat race. Again he started 4th in his "B" Main but this time walked away the winner and earned the 14th starting spot in the Casey's "A" Main where he held on to finish 9th after 40 tough laps. Zack sits 5th in the USMTS national points battle, just 24 behind Hunter Marriott and 65 ahead of Tyler Davis.

 The first night of the weekend started out with an awesome draw. Started on the pole of Heat 4 and won. Redrew P6 for the feature but a DNF with a finishing position of 20th. Going to have to do a good check up on the car and see what happened. See you at Lake Ozark Friday.

 Finished 25th in Main Event

 Night two with the USMTS at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. Started 9th (last) in Fast Shafts Heat Race #2 and gained one spot. Started 6th in the "B" Main and finished 7th. Used a provisional and then had a flat in the "A" Main... and for some reason they didn’t wait on me? Oh well... Happy birthday to me... Tomorrow is another race day!

 Night 3 with the USMTS at the Salina Highbanks Speedway. Started 4th and finished a close 2nd in Fast Shafts Heat Race #2. Addy Ann tried to help Dad drawing a number 4 starting position in the No. 33Z Snickers car. Competition is tough. Was hoping for a top 5 but not meant to be. Finished 8th. See you next time.  The annual Southern Iowa Speedway Fall Challenge took place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, with Zack piloting Matt DeJong's VanderBuilt Race Cars IMCA SportMod. On Friday night, both VanderBuilt cars ran 1-2 with Zack picking up the win with Cayden Carter right behind. Then on Saturday, Carter picked up the win. Unfortunately we missed doubling down on another 1-2 finish as the IMCA crate engine blew up while Zack was leading the feature.

5th Annual Grant Junghans Memorial

 Zack VanderBeek and the 33Z Racing team competed in the 5th Annual Grant Junghans Memorial on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. In the past, this was a USMTS event but this year was for USRA Modifieds. Zack finished second in his heat race, but barely missed the main event lock-in. He started on the pole of his "B" Main but mechanical problems (and a very rough racetrack) ended his night early.

Modster Mash Episode 3 - Modified SpookTacular

 Finished 8th in Main Event

 The 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., helf the inaugural Mel Hambelton Ford Modified “Spooktacular” on Halloween night. Zack was able to haunt them in his heat race, picking up the win and then drawing the outside front row for the $10,031-to-win feature. by the end of the race, he settled for a solid 8th-place finish against one of the toughest fields of the year.

Modster Mash Episode 4 - Halloween Hangover at The Hummer

 Finished 16th in Main Event

 The third and final event of the inaugural Modster Mash took place at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan., with the first-ever "Halloween Hangover at The Hummer" on Sunday, Nov. 1. Zack steered the No. 33Z VanderBuilt Race Cars USRA Modified to a 4th-place finish in his heat race and then snagged 3rd in his “B” main to earn a spot in the $5,000-to-win main event. After starting 21st, Zack loaded it into the trailer with a 16th-place paycheck.
