Port O Cool Texas World Dirt Track Championship

 Well race season is underway and this is the first time we have visited the Texas Motor Speedway. Overall Zack really like the facility and the track with exception of a couple holes that developed later on in the nights. The first night was qualifying night and Zack won his heat from 2nd starting him in the 9th starting spot for the feature. The feature was only 15 laps and the top 8 were locked in to the big show for Saturday night. Zack finished 8th and qualified for the dash on Saturday night. Saturday the top 8 redrew for the dash and Zack drew 5th. He finished 5th so that is where he started the A Main. His car was really good and he actually got under the leader Chris Brown, but hit a hole and lost alot of track. At the end he was right on first and second, coming in 3rd. However, the winner was disqualified due to a chunk of lead falling off and being too light. So Zack ended up 2nd and he was really happy with the car! Good way to start the season!

 Well on our first night, Zack started 4th in his heat and ended up 3rd. There usually isnt much passing in the heats here. Then he won the B Main from 2nd starting him 17th in the feature. Zack's car was really good and he made his way through the field up to finish 5th! On Saturday night our luck was not so hot. He went from 6th to 5th in the heat race. He got 6th in the B Main but the track locked down in the Feature so he pulled off.

 Zack went from 8th to 5th in the heat race. Putting him second row inside of the B Main. He ended up winning that so he started 13th. His car was really good and he got through the field to finish 4th. But big shout out to our best friend Ron VerBeek, on his first USMTS win! He drove away from the field and definately earned it! Congrats Ron!

King of America Modified Nationals

 Wow how exciting this week was!! We tried qualifying on the first night. Zack was fastest time qualifier in his heat so since they invert, he started 6th. He got up to 3rd which started him 8th in the feature. His car was good and he got to 3rd. He had such a good night that it qualified him for the Saturday night A Main. So we got to watch a couple of night of racing, it was kinda nice! So then saturday came. All he had to do was run the Big Main Event for $15,000 to win. He started 7th and right away we knew the car was good. He got up to 4th pretty quickly, then lap by lap kept passing very good cars. He finally got to 2nd and it looked like he was reeling in the leader a little bit and the yellow came out. With 4 to go Zack was sitting in 2nd. The green came out and Zack had a great start. He stayed with him and with 3 to go he was leading by a bumper... but the leader ended up getting us and we came home second. We still won $8,000 and that is Zack's biggest pay day since he started racing. We were thrilled and excited about the finish!

 Well tonight didn't go quite as planned. He drew towards the back of the heat and he started 6th, and with no passing he finished 6th. Then in the B Main he started 10th and finished 4th. He started the A Main in 19th and finished 14th.

 Well tonight didn't go as planned either. The track was in bad condition when we showed up and Zack had to pack it in for his hot lap session. Then he drew the tail again on a one lane track. He finished 2nd to last and didn't make it through the B Main either. We were given a provisional but didn't take it, because that track is definately not one worth a provisional.

 Well tonight wasn't too bad considering the conditions. Zack finished 2nd in his heat putting him 12th in points for the A Main. He got a really good start in the feature getting ready to pass Tesch, Gustin, & Hughes, for 8th, when the track locked down and he had to get in line for the remaining of the race. He finished 10th and we will take it considering the track!

 Well tonight didn't go very well. Started towards the back of the heat and couldn't go anywhere, it again was pretty one lane. Started towards back of B and gave it all he had but fell short. He took a provisional and started the back of the feature but pulled in as the track locked down. We are starting to see a pattern in our awful starts and tracks, so hopefully things will start turning around in both departments!!

 Well we started the night finishing 3rd from 3rd in the heat. We started the b main in 3rd and finished 2nd . Tried some things in the a main but didn't quite work out so finIshed 15th.

 Started third in the heat tonIght and finished 1st. Drew 2 for the feature, the car was a tick off but overall a lot better. FInished 6th.

 Well this week has been interesting. I raced the stockcar in Osky on Wednesday night, but first I got a flat tire, then I pulled in for losing oil pressure so the night wasn't so successful. Then we piled in the hauler and left from Osky to head straight to Waco, Texas. We drove till almost 4 then stopped and slept a little. We got back on the road and the garmin was telling us we would get there pretty close to 7:00 which was hot laps. We hit terrible stopped traffic in Dallas and had to take another route but we pulled in 3 minutes till 7. Made it to the drivers meeting and was ready to go. Started 2nd in my heat and got 1st. I redrew 7 for the feature and finished 6th. It was one lane on the bottom all night so pretty happy with my luck and car for tonight.

 Well tonight turned out pretty good for the 33z team. Zack started 2nd in the heat with local 6 time feature winner on the pole. He got second but still qualified for the feature. He started the feature in the 12th spot and raced very patiently for such a little track and finished the race in 4th. Good solid top 5 run tonight!

 Zack started on the pole of his heat race and won it. That put him 9th in the passing points. He started 9th but the track quickly locked down and he finished 10th. But still another top ten for the 33z!!

 Zack started 4th in his heat, and with not much passing he got 3rd. He had to start 2nd in the B Main and took the win on that. Winning the B Main started him 13th and he finished 13th.

 We decided to race West Liberty on Saturday night to have some fun and get some more laps in. Due to their points system Zack had to start last in the heat race and finished 2nd. He also had to start the last qualifing position in the feature which was 12th. He did really well and got to 2nd. Such a fun track and the modifieds really get to moving around it!!

 Friday night didn't go so great. The motor was acting up in hot laps and in the heat race and he finished last in the heat. He had to start 12th in the B Main and finished 7th. But 5 laps into the A Main he got wrecked and could not finish!!! Saturday night went much better!! He started front row outside of the heat and won it battling side by side the whole 8 laps with a very good local Dave Cain. He drew 1 for the feature but didn't quite have enough to win but he still finished 4th and got a top 5!

 Well tonight didn't turn out so bad. Had to start at the tail of the heat once again. But he did get up to 4th so that put him on the pole of one of the B Mains. He won that by a pretty good stretch. He started 13th in the A Main and car wasn't that good in the beginning he fell back to 16th, but then he got some cars back to finish 10th and salvage a top 10 finish!

 Well we started out ok. He started the heat in 2nd and finished 2nd. He started 11th in the feature and got 12th. The car was okay but need some more adjustments!

 Well tonight wasn't that great! The track was pretty hammer down for the heats. We had to run the B Main but it was full of a lot of good cars and we didn't qualify for the feature, but we did get a provisional. We got up to about 18th but that was all.

 Tonight went much better! We started the heat front row outside, and he won it but quite a bit! He started 8th in the feature and fell back to 12th at one point then his car went really went and he finished 6th. So good night for us and headed in the right direction with the car!

 Tonight was a really good night! Zack started 6th in a really tough heat race and finished 2nd. That put him 3rd in passing points and Addy drew him the 5 to start the feature. Right away he got to 3rd and stayed there for a while, then gusting passed us on the top and we were in 4th. But then Zacks car came in even more and he passed Tesch, and Hughes to get the 2nd spot! So good finish tonight!

 Well the first night we went 5th to 3rd in the heat and went from 10th to 13th in the feature, and the second night went from 9th to 6th in the heat and 22nd to 17th in the feature

 Well tonight went better as we won our heat race! We started 7th and got 6th so finally a good finish to end the swing with!

Spring Valley, MN

World Modified Dirt Championship

 Well we got the very first race under our belt in the Hughes Chassis. We qualified on Thursday night at the World Modified Championship at Deer Creek Speedway. We time trialed 4th best in our heat which put us second row inside of the heat. I got to 2nd which put me 8th in Passing points for the feature. I finished 7th, which put me 7th in points for the night. I decided to keep my spot since that put me starting 2nd row in the B Main. I finished 5th in the B Main making it into the big show, but as I was going out my car wouldn't start so once I got it started, I had to start 31st in the feature. I had a good run and got up to 13th. Pretty happy for my first time in the car and kinda excited to see what it brings!

 Well the night started out kinda funny. Still in the 20z Hughes chassis until I get my new one. Was leading the heat race by about a straight away when i looped my car. So then I had to run a B Main and won that, so I started 16th but got myself up to 6th.

 Well started 4th in the heat again, and got 3rd. Started 4th in the feature, but didn't have the car quite set up for the rough track conditions so I finished 9th.

 Wasn't much passing in the heat went from 3rd to 3rd. Started pole of the B Main and won that. Started 15th and got 5th. So good night!

 Went from 4th to 3rd in the heat race and started 12th in the feature, and got to 6th.

 Did okay tonight, got 2nd in the heat, so I had to run the B Main. I won that which put me 13th and I finished 9th. Been conisistanly running in the top 10 in a new car so been really happy with that.

 Got 3rd in my heat from 5th, and finished the feature in 7th.

 Well this is one of my favorite tracks, since it was where I captured my first USMTS win, I started 6th in the heat race but I ended up winning it. The car was really good and I drew 7 for the feature, I was running 3rd when the track locked down and with 2 to go I got a Right Rear Flat. So kinda bummed about that, but at least we know that the car was good!

 Well started off the night a little rocky. I didnt finish my heat race due to a fuel pump bracket breaking. I started 10th in the B Main and got 6th. Started the feature in 22nd and got all the way to 9th, so defiantely happy with the way things turned out!

 Zack finally got a good draw tonight. He won his heat race and got in the redraw. He drew 4 and finished 5th. Good night!

 Started 6th in the heat race and got up to 3rd. That put him in the redraw again and he drew 4 again and got 6th. Another decent night for us!

 Tonight started a patch of rough nights. Zack had to start dead last in his heat race and there was no passing as usual at Lansing. He had to get through a tough B Main and he used a provisional but only got to 18th.

 Well the night started out good. He started 9th in the heat (AGAIN) and got up to 4th which put him pole of the B Main. We were okay with that until he pulled in the pits and the motor broke. We were on the pole of the 1st B main and did not have enough time to get the motors switched so he did not make it out. He used a provisional but when he went out for the feature there were some things still not right so he came back in Since we didn't use the provisional to race, we didn't have to end up using it.

 Well tonight was another bad night. Started last in a very tough heat race. Only passed a couple cars and finished 3rd in the B Main. The track was trying to lock down in the feature and there was no passing so only got to 16th.

 Well this weekend didn't go to bad. Friday night started 5th in our heat and got to 3rd. That put us 12th for the A Main. He got up to 8th but felt his car could be better. Saturday night he had to start 9th!!! What a surprise! He got to 6th but had to start 4th in the B Main which he won. He started the feature in 14th and passed some good cars to come home with 7th.

 Well we started 6th in the heat race and finished 6th. There were not enough cars to make a B Main so we started 17th. The car was good and Zack passes lots of good cars and finished 9th. Also getting the hard charger award for the night!

 This weekend didn't fare so good! On Thursday night we started 12th in the heat and got all the way up 5th but he still had to start a B Main in which he finished 2nd. That started him 25th but unfortunately the track locked down and there was no passing so we finished 21st. Friday night he had to start 10th in the heat race and got to 8th. He finished one spot out of the qualifying position in the B Main and had to take a provisional. He finished 20th. Saturday night was the same kind of deal, he had to take a provisional and finished 22nd.

 The weekend went pretty good. We didn't qualify through the first night but we ran the b main and got into the A. We started 14th and ended up 3rd!!

 Thursday night we had to start 10th and we got to 4th. Had to start on the pole of the b main. We won that and started 15th and got to 8th. Friday night we had to start 9th and only got to 8th. We had to start in the back of the b main and just got in the last qualifying spot. Started 20th and got up to 10th. Saturday night we started 10th and got to 3rd and made the redraw. We started 3rd in the feature and got 2nd. Good weekend!
